The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fist decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Fist trying to control from half guard but Girl is working away.
Fist not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Fist wants to lay and pray for a moment but Girl keeps working.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Girl has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

That was a close round but I would say that Kyle Fist will probably get the nod.

Fist tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Girl looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Fist stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Girl swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Girl has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Fist wants to get up but he can't break Girl's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kyle Fist.
Well Fist has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
