And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vitor Belfort!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saku throws a front kick aimed at Belfort's knee but Belfort avoids it well.
Saku dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Belfort. That did some damage!
Belfort fails with a takedown attempt.
Belfort blocks a low kick nicely.
Saku throws a head kick that misses.
Saku lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Saku fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Belfort.
Saku throws a quick inside leg kick.
Belfort looks gassed!
This has been an exciting period of action!
That kick from Saku tenderised Belfort's leg. Belfort is trying to keep his angry face on.
Good leg kick by Saku there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Saku lands a jab to Belfort's midsection.
Belfort has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Saku.
A solid leg kick lands there for Saku.
A slapping leg kick lands for Saku.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Saku throws a nice outside leg kick.
Belfort chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Saku can pounce on him.
Saku fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Saku throws a quick inside leg kick.
Saku fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Belfort.
Belfort's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Saku lands a big head kick that sends Belfort tumbling to the mat! Saku takes a step backwards and waves Belfort back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Vitor Belfort has been cut.
Left hook, right uppercut from Saku.
Belfort tries to score a power double leg takedown but Saku sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Belfort somewhat.
Saku lands with a slapping head kick.

Belfort is rocked!
Saku feints and then cracks Belfort's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Belfort down.
Saku scores with a hook to the body. Belfort takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Belfort takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
