Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gouge Velouria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Auditore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gouge Velouria had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Auditore keeps the fight on the outside.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Auditore enables Velouria to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Auditore manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Velouria got a little sloppy there for a moment and Auditore has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Velouria has managed to get both his arms back between Auditore's legs - danger averted.

Velouria avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Auditore escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Velouria gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Auditore is trying to keep Velouria in close.
Velouria slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Gouge Velouria has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Auditore misses with a takedown

and Velouria counters with a nice double leg into side control. Auditore won't be happy with that.
Auditore looks gassed!

Velouria tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Velouria looks up at the clock and then as Auditore takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Velouria smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Velouria wants to stand but Auditore has his arm trapped.
Velouria staying calm.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Auditore struggling a bit here.
Velouria just content to control the position.

Velouria seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Auditore for as long as he can get away with.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gouge Velouria.
Velouria throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Auditore's waist but Auditore gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Velouria off to one side.

Auditore shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Auditore showed some decent athleticism there.
Velouria on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Velouria tries to get out of the position.
Auditore seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Velouria does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Auditore is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Auditore wants to control the pace but Velouria is squirming around nicely.
Velouria is trying desperately to improve position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Gouge Velouria will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Velouria counters with a shoot takedown. Auditore fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Auditore has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Velouria can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Auditore is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Velouria defends well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Auditore has his foot on Velouria's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Velouria works his way back into a safe position though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Auditore is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Velouria defends well.
Gouge Velouria overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Auditore looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Velouria wants to stand but Auditore has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Velouria is sitting in close to Auditore's body. Auditore has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Velouria is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Velouria is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Auditore.
