Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Takumi Nishijo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tsung Wayard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wayard has chosen Savior as his entrance music. Tsung Wayard is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wayard throws a sloppy head kick and Nishijo moves out of range easily.
Wayard tried to score with a low kick but Nishijo checks it.
Wayard tries to clinch but Nishijo is having none of it.
Wayard is looking to clinch but Nishijo is avoiding it.
Nishijo blocks a head kick by Wayard.
Nishijo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nishijo slips a jab from Wayard.
Wayard pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wayard pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Nishijo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wayard's guard.
Nishijo prevents Wayard from getting back to his feet.
Nishijo wants to control from the top but Wayard keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nishijo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Wayard is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Wayard gets caught flat footed, as Nishijo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nishijo trying to control but Wayard is working from the bottom.

Nishijo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nishijo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Nishijo prevents Wayard from getting back to his feet.
Nishijo wants to control from the top but Wayard keeps moving.
Nishijo is breathing heavily.

Nishijo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Wayard wants to stand and escape but Nishijo is having none of it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wayard is looking to stand back up but Nishijo counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Wayard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Nishijo is looking for a kimura here.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Wayard tries to clinch up.
Wayard fails in his attempt to clinch.
Wayard misses with a low kick.
Nishijo blocks a head kick by Wayard.

Nishijo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wayard looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nishijo tries for a kimura but Wayard is defending well.
Wayard is trying to buck Nishijo off.

Nishijo looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Wayard is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Nishijo has hold of Wayard's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Wayard seems comfortable defending it but Nishijo has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Wayard is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Wayard is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Nishijo couldn't care less - he's delighted!
