Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Angel Molina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castle has chosen In Time as his entrance music. Frank Castle told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Angel Molina!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Castle!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Molina misses with a hook. Castle ducked under it nicely.
Castle looks to land a body kick but Molina moved away.
Castle uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Molina.
Molina swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Castle takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Frank Castle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Castle shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Molina with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Molina circles away from the clinch attempt.
Molina shoots in for a double leg but Castle sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Molina misses with a wild body shot.
Molina tries to clinch but Castle is having none of it.

and Molina holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Castle wants the takedown. Molina is fighting it off but Castle persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Molina's guard against the cage.
Castle is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Molina has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Castle can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Molina is trying to control the position but Castle postures up.
Molina lands a good elbow from the bottom.

Molina is looking for a triangle but Castle pushes his legs off easily.
Castle is looking to work some ground and pound but Molina has wrist control.
Castle wants to control from the top but Molina keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Castle has Molina up against the cage in a clinch.
Castle lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Molina is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Molina has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Castle is trying to keep an underhook but Molina manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Molina is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Castle defends it well.

Castle is looking to control Molina's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Castle avoid being mounted?

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Castle is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Castle manages to break the clinch.
Castle drops Molina with a left right combo! Castle follows him down to the ground into side control.

Castle tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Molina tries to bench press Castle off him but Castle keeps the position.

Castle wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Molina, who protects the arm well.
Molina seems to have got his legs back now.
Molina manages to get back to half guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Molina looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Frank Castle will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Molina throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Molina doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Frank Castle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Castle throws a lazy head kick
and Molina connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Castle throws a right and a left that Molina avoids nicely.
Castle closes the distance but Molina moves to the side
and Molina counters with a left to the body.
Molina slips a jab and a cross from Castle.
Molina keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Castle.
Molina looks to score with a jab to the body but Castle is just out of range.

Castle gets a clinch.

Castle lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Castle breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Molina closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Molina lands in his opponent's guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Molina postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Molina drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Castle manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Molina has Castle in his guard.

Molina has his foot on Castle's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Castle works his way back into a safe position though.

Castle stands and steps away. Molina gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Castle throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Castle scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Molina doesn't seem bothered though.

Castle escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Molina is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Castle is just riding it out for now. Molina eventually gives up the hold.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Castle pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Castle clobbers Molina with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

That was a close second round but I would say that Angel Molina will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Angel Molina overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Molina pushes a forearm under Castle's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Castle is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
