The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
jhonson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Danglose fails to land with a series of punches.
jhonson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Danglose moves out of range as jhonson throws a body kick.
jhonson throws a front kick aimed at Danglose's knee but Danglose avoids it well.
Danglose displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from jhonson.
Danglose rushes jhonson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

and Danglose counters with a three punch combo that has jhonson backing up. jhonson nods at Danglose to acknowledge the strikes.
jhonson is breathing heavily.
jhonson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Danglose sprawls well. Danglose wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. jhonson gets slowly back to his feet.

and Danglose moves into the clinch.

Danglose tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. jhonson just stands there and leans against the cage.

Danglose wants to get back to his feet but jhonson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
jhonson clobbers Danglose with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
jhonson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
jhonson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Danglose uses from the top position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now jhonson is on top in guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
jhonson shoots for a double leg takedown but Danglose sprawls well. He's pushed jhonson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
jhonson tries to close the distance and clinch but Danglose swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Danglose escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Danglose decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that chris jhonson will probably get the nod.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
