Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawk's entrance music is RAPE ME. A fine choice. Reis has chosen Master Of Puppets as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Hawk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rodrigo Reis!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk doesn't manage to clinch there - Reis circles away.

Hawk escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Reis throws a series of punches but Hawk avoids them all with ease.
Rodrigo Reis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Hawk holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Reis trying to control the position but instead, Hawk has worked for underhooks and has pushed Reis into the cage.
Reis wants to get back to striking at distance but Hawk won't allow it.
Reis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Hawk tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Hawk tightens his grip and picks Reis up, before dumping him to the ground. Reis manages to land in guard.
Hawk is looking to work some ground and pound but Reis has wrist control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hawk is looking to take a break and control but Reis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Reis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hawk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mike Hawk has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hawk turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hawk manages to end up in side control.

Reis is looking to get back to his feet here but Hawk is keeping cool and he's managed to take Reis's back.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Hawk will probably get the nod.

That's time! Hawk's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Hawk loads up on a big right hand but Reis slips the punch.

Reis is looking to slow Hawk down with leg kicks.
Reis throws a leg kick but Hawk sees it coming and checks it nicely.

The fight stays on the outside here - Hawk looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hawk moves in looking to clinch but Reis pushes him off.
Hawk takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Hawk has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rodrigo Reis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Reis throws a solid leg kick but Hawk takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Reis.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hawk moves out of range as Reis throws a body kick.

and Hawk counters with a head kick. That will keep Reis thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

I think Reis has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
