Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gedo Sake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chael Brownie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gedo Sake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chael Brownie!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brownie drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Sake is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Brownie is looking to improve his position.
Brownie works his way to full guard. Good work.
Sake has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Sake tries to stand but Brownie is controlling from the bottom.
Sake looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Brownie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Brownie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sake gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Brownie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sake can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sake wants to control from the top but Brownie keeps moving.

Brownie looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Sake has picked Brownie up and slammed him! Brownie can't keep hold of the triangle and Sake manages to pass to side control!

Sake is looking to take a break and control but Brownie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Brownie is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Brownie is not content to let Sake control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sake shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Brownie manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Brownie is staying active underneath Sake, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Sake seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brownie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Brownie is looking for a sweep. Sake is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

That was a close round but I would say that Gedo Sake will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Brownie doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Sake counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Brownie thinking.

and Brownie decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sake's guard.

Brownie decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sake, up you get!

and Sake counters with a head kick.
Gedo Sake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chael Brownie.

Brownie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Brownie jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Sake is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Sake and Brownie has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Sake takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Brownie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sake is aware though and is defending well.

Brownie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sake gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Brownie has his foot on Sake's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sake works his way back into a safe position though.

Brownie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sake defends it easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Chael Brownie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Brownie drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Sake tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brownie wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Sake is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Brownie has just dragged him back down to the mat.

and Sake counters with a big head kick but Brownie shrugs it off.

Chael Brownie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Brownie has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
