Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Dantas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Horgorth Whoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Whoa's choice of entrance music: emsiferum-token of time. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Dantas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Horgorth Whoa!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whoa fails with an attempt to clinch.
Whoa looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Whoa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dantas will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Horrible takedown by Dantas or perhaps it was just good defense by Whoa which made him look bad.

Whoa looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Whoa is trying to control the position but Dantas postures up.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dantas is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Whoa is striking from the bottom but Dantas uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Whoa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Whoa wants to get back to full guard but Dantas has passed into side control.

Dantas tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Whoa swivels and escapes.

Dantas's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Whoa can't do much from the bottom here.
Dantas remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Lucas Dantas.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Whoa shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Whoa showed some decent athleticism there.
Whoa wants to control but Dantas is keeping him busy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Whoa thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dantas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Whoa tries to avoid it but Dantas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Whoa to the ground. Whoa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Whoa tries to break the clinch but Dantas is controlling the position.

Whoa lands an elbow that stopped Dantas in his tracks for a moment.

Dantas is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Whoa can't fight it off and eventually Dantas manages to take the fight to the floor. Whoa looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dantas seems to be working for a kimura but Whoa defends the submission attempt.

and Whoa holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Whoa gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Dantas.

Dantas turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Dantas manages to end up in side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Lucas Dantas showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dantas, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
