The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers stuns Kristofferson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Kristofferson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kristofferson tries to close the distance and clinch but Powers swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Powers changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Kristofferson is breathing heavily.
Powers showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kristofferson.
Powers lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kristofferson at a distance.

Kristofferson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Kristofferson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

It looks like Chris Kristofferson has been cut.
Powers lands a nice shot that snaps Kristofferson's head back.

Powers clinches.

Powers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Powers drops Kristofferson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kristofferson looks back up at him and smiles so Powers waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Powers lands with a big right hook that stumbles Kristofferson - he's out on his feet here! Powers follows up with another monster hook that separates Kristofferson from consciousness! Kristofferson falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Powers stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
