Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tony Ingram (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante The Saint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Dante The Saint enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tony Ingram!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dante The Saint!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ingram tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but The Saint swivels and escapes.

Ingram really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The Saint is trying to control the position but Ingram postures up.

Ingram is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ingram dives in and grabs The Saint's left leg, looking for a takedown. The Saint pushes down on Ingram's head and hops out.
Ingram walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
The Saint throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

The Saint closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The Saint tries to stand but Ingram controls the position and pulls The Saint into his guard.
The Saint stays in close to Ingram's body and controls the position.

Ingram lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for The Saint!

Ingram seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down The Saint for as long as he can get away with.

The Saint wants to hold on but Ingram pushes him away.

Tony Ingram has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Ingram closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Ingram has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The Saint throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The Saint looks to land a combination. Ingram sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

The Saint wants to get back to his feet but Ingram passes into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if The Saint can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ingram looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The Saint is looking to control Ingram's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can The Saint avoid being mounted?

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tony Ingram.

The Saint looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ingram slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Ingram keeping moving, preventing The Saint from controlling successfully.
Ingram bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in The Saint's guard.

The referee asks Ingram politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ingram prefers to stall for the moment though.
Tony Ingram overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The Saint is looking to get back to his feet here but Ingram is keeping cool and he's managed to take The Saint's back.
Ingram is riding his opponent, not letting The Saint buck him off.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ingram, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
