The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nash gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Penn looking to pass the guard.
Nash is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Nash throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Nash working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Penn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Penn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Nash manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Penn manages to get himself to full guard.

Penn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nash's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nash's back!

Nash rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Penn wants to free his trapped foot but Nash is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Nash wants to improve his position but Penn is controlling well.
Penn thows a huge punch but Nash dodges it nicely.
Penn tries to pass the half guard into mount. Nash knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Nash makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nash.
Penn loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Nash has his foot on Penn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Penn works his way back into a safe position though.

Nash has his feet on Penn's thighs here. He's pushed Penn off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Penn screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
