Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Showler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donnie Yen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Showler might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to City Lights. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Showler throws a hook but Yen avoids it easily.

Yen with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Showler misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Yen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Showler tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Showler is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Yen.
Showler misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Yen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Yen lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Showler is pushing down on Yen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Yen is fighting to maintain full guard but Showler has managed to sneak the leg through.

Showler thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yen is not content to let Showler control the position.
Showler tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Yen is refusing to be controlled, as Showler sits in half guard.
Showler uses his free foot to push down on Yen's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Yen.
Showler scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Showler can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Yen is looking to escape.

Yen is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

The referee warns Yen that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

It looks like Donnie Yen has been cut.
Showler has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Yen's face.

That has opened up Donnie Yen's cut even more.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Donnie Yen's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
