Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tj Desantis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Lynxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Larry Lynxx will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Desantis fails with a takedown attempt.
Desantis moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Desantis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Desantis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Lynxx instigates a clinch.
Lynxx wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Desantis ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Desantis no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Desantis working for a triangle but Lynxx defends it easily.

Desantis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lynxx defends well.

Lynxx works over Desantis with some ground and pound from guard.
Lynxx must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Desantis looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Desantis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Desantis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Desantis throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Desantis pushes Lynxx off and gets back to his feet.

Lynxx feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Desantis wants to sweep but no luck.

Lynxx might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Desantis kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Desantis pulls Lynxx in close to prevent any damage.
Desantis lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lynxx!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Desantis stands up from mount. Strange move.
Lynxx tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Desantis with a poor takedown
and Lynxx counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tj Desantis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Desantis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lynxx as he jumps to the side.
Lynxx fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Lynxx moves into the clinch successfully.

Lynxx breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Lynxx counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tj Desantis will probably get the nod.
That's time! Desantis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Lynxx lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lynxx.

Lynxx can't break the clinch.

Desantis tightens his grip and picks Lynxx up, before dumping him to the ground. Lynxx manages to land in guard.

Lynxx working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Desantis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Desantis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Desantis stands and steps away. Lynxx gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Desantis shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lynxx napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Tj Desantis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Desantis tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Desantis has an Americana. Lynxx didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Desantis is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Desantis hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
