Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Claus Bandingo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Foster throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bandingo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Foster is in Bandingo's guard.

Foster wants to control from the top but Bandingo keeps moving.

Bandingo has his foot on Foster's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Foster works his way back into a safe position though.

Foster got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bandingo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Foster has managed to get both his arms back between Bandingo's legs - danger averted.

Bandingo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bandingo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Foster is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bandingo, into his guard.

Foster content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Bandingo has locked up a guillotine! Bandingo's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Foster is holding on here and Bandingo must be using up a lot of energy. Foster has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Bandingo gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
