The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brzoza circles away from the clinch attempt.
Oliveira closes the distance and clinches up with Brzoza, looking for a takedown. Oliveira pushes Brzoza against the cage but Brzoza circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Brzoza throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Gustavo Oliveira has been cut.
Oliveira looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Brzoza slaps away a takedown attempt from Oliveira, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Brzoza feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Brzoza stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Oliveira to get to his feet.

Oliveira has his feet on Brzoza's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

and Brzoza counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Oliveira shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brzoza's guard.
