Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Kurr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, diego evans!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kurr is trying to break the clinch but evans is controlling him.
Kurr really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kurr is pushing evans up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Kurr prevents the takedown attempt.
evans fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Kurr has a couple of punches blocked by evans.
Kurr has had enough of the clinch but evans keeps him there for the moment.
Kurr is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

evans's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kurr tries to clinch but evans moves out of range.
evans changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kurr tries to avoid it but evans manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kurr to the ground. Kurr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kurr takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
evans shoots in but Kurr avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Horrible takedown by evans or perhaps it was just good defense by Kurr which made him look bad.
Kurr throws a right hand that evans ducks under and follows up with a left that evans also avoids with ease.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Kurr just misses with a elbow thrown towards evans's brow.

Kurr throws a nice looking combination but evans bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

evans is trying to drag Kurr to the mat but Kurr just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
evans is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Kurr will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kurr wants to control but evans passes easily into half guard.
Kurr holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Kurr gets full guard.
Kurr not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
evans trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kurr wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
evans stopping the sweep attempt from Kurr.

Kurr lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for evans!
evans slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
evans wants to get back to his feet.
Kurr throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
evans is not content to let Kurr control the position.

evans regains full guard. Nicely done.
Kurr wants to control from the top but evans keeps moving.
evans is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kurr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. evans swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Kurr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but evans circles away quickly and effectively.
evans showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kurr.

and evans counters with a nice double leg into guard.

evans avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
evans sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kurr's guard.

Kurr is trying to control the position but evans postures up.

Kurr is working an open guard so evans takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kurr tries to close the distance and clinch up but evans swats him away and circles back towards the center.

evans scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
evans cracks Kurr with a big right hand but Kurr just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
evans is trying to get an arm triangle but Kurr is defending well.
Kurr is trying to control evans's posture but evans avoids it.
Kurr is not content to let evans control the position.

Kurr wants to control but evans postures up.
evans is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Kurr is trying to escape and evans transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Kurr is forced to tap! Nice work there by evans! Very nice indeed!
