Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derice Sanka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Sanka. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Sanka changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Long tries to avoid it but Sanka manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Long to the ground. Long escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Long lunges at Sanka with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sanka's hand.

Long gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sanka to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Long lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sanka!

Long has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sanka's face.
Sanka sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Long connects with a nice short shot to Sanka's temple.

Sanka has a closed guard, preventing Long from standing up.
Long trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sanka can't keep his opponent in guard - Long advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sanka wants to get back to full guard.
Long slips a nice elbow through Sanka's hands, connecting with Sanka's forehead.
Long looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Long is nestled in close to Sanka, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Alex Long is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Long has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
