Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rod Keyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frosty McPenos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McPenos is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by "Don't Call Me White" by Nofx. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rod Keyes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frosty McPenos!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keyes looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McPenos is fending him off so far but Keyes persists. Nope, McPenos circles away and we're back to standing.
McPenos tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Keyes swivels and escapes.
Keyes lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as McPenos backs up against the cage.

Keyes rushes McPenos and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
McPenos working aggressively here.

Keyes takes an elbow to the temple.


It looks like Rod Keyes has been cut.
McPenos has Keyes pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Keyes manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Keyes throws a blind hook that connects with the side of McPenoss head.

Keyes manages to pull guard.
Keyes wants to get back to his feet but McPenos is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

McPenos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Keyes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McPenos has managed to get both his arms back between Keyes's legs - danger averted.

Keyes lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McPenos in particular looking to stall.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McPenos uses his free foot to push down on Keyes's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Keyes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McPenos moves to back control.
McPenos is hanging on to Keyes's back as he tries to escape.

McPenos is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Keyes is defending well though. McPenos let's go of the attempt for now.
McPenos has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Keyes's body.

Keyes looking very determined here, making life difficult for McPenos.
McPenos doesn't have the hooks in and Keyes manages to turn into his guard.
McPenos wants to get back to his feet but Keyes is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

McPenos has his feet on Keyes's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

McPenos shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Keyes but Keyes pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Horrible takedown by McPenos or perhaps it was just good defense by Keyes which made him look bad.
Keyes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McPenos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
McPenos dives in and grabs Keyes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Keyes pushes down on McPenos's head and hops out.

Keyes fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McPenos sprawls well initially but Keyes persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Keyes thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Keyes explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
McPenos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Keyes's waist but Keyes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McPenos off to one side.

Keyes is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of McPenos's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take McPenos's back!

Keyes is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Keyes gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Keyes gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Keyes apologises and we restart here on the feet.
McPenos closes this distance looking for a takedown but Keyes circles away.
McPenos takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Keyes tries to close the distance and clinch up but McPenos swats him away and circles back towards the center.

McPenos shoots for a double leg takedown but Keyes sprawls well. He's pushed McPenos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Frosty McPenos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got McPenos winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
