The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neponen moves out of range as Bu Jeevy throws a body kick.
Bu Jeevy misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bu Jeevy moves out of range of the body kick from Neponen.
Neponen takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Neponen is looking to clinch.
Neponen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bu Jeevy displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Neponen throws out the jab.
Sloppy strikes from Neponen. Those never looked like landing.
Neponen chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Neponen looks to score with a jab to the body but Bu Jeevy is just out of range.
Neponen throws a sloppy head kick
and Bu Jeevy counters with a slapping leg kick.
Neponen walks forward, straight into a front kick from Bu Jeevy.

Neponen looks for a takedown but Bu Jeevy sprawls well.
A head kick by Bu Jeevy misses
and Bu Jeevy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bu Jeevy closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Bu Jeevy is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Bu Jeevy throws an elbow but Neponen slips to the side and avoids it well.

Bu Jeevy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Neponen, who protects the arm well.

Bu Jeevy has an Americana. Neponen didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Bu Jeevy is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Bu Jeevy hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
