And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takumi Nishijo!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lesnar drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Nishijo is looking for a triangle but Lesnar pushes his legs off easily.

Nishijo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lesnar trying to control the position from guard on top but Nishijo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Nishijo looking for a guillotine here but Lesnar defends easily.
Lesnar is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lesnar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Nishijo keeping moving, preventing Lesnar from controlling successfully.
Lesnar pushes down on Nishijo's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Nishijo manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Nishijo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lesnar is aware though and is defending well.
Lesnar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Lesnar makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Lesnar passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Nishijo gets back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lesnar wants to pass to mount but Nishijo is defending the position.
Nishijo is in trouble now - Lesnar has advanced to mount!
Nishijo is looking to get to half guard.
Nishijo looks gassed!
Lesnar avoids the attempt from Nishijo to control.
Lesnar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lesnar breaks from Nishijo's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Lesnar lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A nice elbow there by Lesnar.
Nishijo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lesnar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Nishijo is trying to escape the mount.

Lesnar looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Lesnar with shots to the head and body - Nishijo looks very uncomfortable down there.


Nishijo is rocked!
Lesnar is landing with some decent strikes but Nishijo is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Nishijo is still in real trouble! Can Lesnar finish him?
Lesnar cracks Nishijo with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
