Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Karapet Gesalian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urist McPain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Urist McPain will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karapet Gesalian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Urist McPain!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gesalian shoots in looking for a takedown. McPain tries to sprawl out of it but Gesalian keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McPain manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from McPain. Gesalian shrugs it off though.
Gesalian dives in and grabs McPain's left leg, looking for a takedown. McPain pushes down on Gesalian's head and hops out.
McPain throws a sloppy head kick and Gesalian moves out of range easily.
Gesalian shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Karapet Gesalian. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gesalian shoots in for a double leg but McPain sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gesalian fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McPain avoids it really well and circles away.
Gesalian throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McPain's waist but McPain gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gesalian off to one side.
Gesalian is breathing heavily.
Gesalian avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gesalian takes a kick to the side of the head.
Gesalian sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
McPain lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Karapet Gesalian has been cut.

Gesalian takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gesalian avoids the head kick by McPain.
McPain throws a head kick that misses.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Gesalian. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
McPain throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Gesalian's head.
Gesalian seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. McPain shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Gesalian is backing up but McPain catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Gesalian covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! McPain Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
