Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taco Train (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oliver Roberts could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Taco Train's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Oliver Roberts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Taco Train!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Train shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Train was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Roberts is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Roberts is in all sorts of trouble here.
Roberts tries to lock up and control but Train gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Roberts is trying to escape the mount.
Roberts manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Roberts, under a barage of strikes from Train.
Roberts tries to roll over but Train keeps him under control.
Roberts is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Train's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Train's back!

Roberts has the hooks in. Train is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Train looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Train has hold of Roberts's arm. He needs to escape this position sooner or later but for now he's happy enough to control the position and prevent the submission attempts.
Train wriggles onto his back under a barage of strikes.
Train suckers Roberts into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Train is now in Roberts's guard!
Train wants to control from the top but Roberts keeps moving.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Train working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Roberts is looking to stand up but Train isn't so interested in that idea.
Train loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Train with a flurry of punches that miss.

Train has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Train accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Roberts is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Train throws and elbow that misses. Roberts uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Train's guard. Nice move by Roberts!
Roberts lands a couple of elbows.
Roberts in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Train controlling the position.
Train manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Taco Train dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Train shoots for a double leg takedown but Roberts sprawls well. He's pushed Train's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Train rushes Roberts and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Roberts tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Train just stands there and leans against the ropes.
Roberts prevents a takedown attempt there.
Roberts changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Train fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Train throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Roberts's waist but Roberts gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Train off to one side.
Oliver Roberts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taco Train.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Train is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Roberts is just riding it out for now. Train eventually gives up the hold.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Train winds up and cracks Roberts with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Roberts has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Train is working away from the top position though.
Train stalling away here and it's allowed Roberts to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Train postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Roberts is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Train, into his guard.

Taco Train showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Train throws a strike but Roberts rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Train drops down looking for an ankle pick but Roberts pulls his leg out and moves away.

Oliver Roberts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Roberts keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Roberts lands with a nice combination. Train backs away looking to recover.
Oliver Roberts has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!


It looks like Taco Train has been cut.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Roberts looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Taco Train comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Train winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
