The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fatts shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Doran's guard.
Fatts pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Doran is keeping the position for now.
Fatts passes into half guard.
Doran knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fatts on the ground.
Doran trying to hold on to Fatts's head to control him but Fatts postures up.

Fatts is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Doran doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fatts.

Doran is defending against the submission attempts here by Fatts.
Fatts throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Fatts is keen to just control but Doran is a slippery customer.
Fatts looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Fatts trying to control from half guard but Doran is working away.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Doran scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Fatts doesn't seem bothered though.

Doran is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Fatts's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Fatts wants to pass to mount but Doran is defending the position.
Fatts is trying to control the action in half guard but Doran is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Fatts works his foot free and advances to mount.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Fatts tries to control but Doran wriggling away.
Fatts scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Doran?

Fatts is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Jay Fatts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Doran looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Fatts changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Doran looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Fatts tries for a kimura but Doran is defending well.
Fatts wants to control but Doran is keeping him busy.
Doran is pushing Fatts's head away, looking to escape. Fatts manages to hold on to the position though.

Fatts has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Doran!
The referee warns Doran that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Fatts manages to capitalize on a mistake by Doran to take his back!

Fatts is persistently looking for the submission but Doran is defending it well.

Fatts is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Doran knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Doran for a finish.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
