Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between mr gold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Redd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). gold comes to the cage accompanied by yes. Redd has chosen We Will Rock You as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
gold throws a jab when Redd was well out of range.
Redd shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
gold stuffs the takedown.
Redd shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with gold but gold pushes him off and we're back to square one.
mr gold has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Redd.
gold stuffs the takedown attempt from Redd. Redd gets slowly back to his feet.
gold misses with an uppercut.
Redd has a takedown stuffed.
Redd shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with gold but gold pushes him off and we're back to square one.
gold shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
gold lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
gold thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
gold tries to pass the half guard into mount. Redd knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
gold working over Redd with some ground and pound. Redd looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Redd avoiding damage under a succession of punches from gold.
gold is trying to control the action in half guard but Redd is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Redd wants to control but gold is keeping busy.
Redd makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Redd.
gold trying to control the position from guard on top but Redd is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
gold is working Redd over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
gold throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Redd works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Redd is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. gold is aware though and is defending well.
Redd working for a triangle but gold defends it easily.
gold forces his way into half guard.
gold is nestled in close to Redd, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Redd looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. gold connects with a nice short shot to Redd's temple.
gold wants to control but Redd is keeping him busy.
gold working over Redd with some ground and pound. Redd looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
gold is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Redd is just riding it out for now. gold eventually gives up the hold.
Redd is trying to maintain the position but gold is very close to passing his half guard.
gold wants to take a breather but Redd is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
gold winds up and cracks Redd with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
gold throwing shots but Redd is blocking nicely.

Redd looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

gold looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Redd with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Redd looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
gold wants to pass to mount but Redd is defending the position.
gold thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Redd's head.
gold thows a huge punch but Redd dodges it nicely.
Redd looking for submissions off his back.
gold throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
gold drops an elbow to the side of Redd's head.
Redd looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
gold looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Redd gets back to full guard.
gold is working Redd over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Redd looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
gold postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
gold throws a big right hand that misses.
gold has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Redd to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! gold is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Redd pulls down on the head and he's put gold to sleep! This one is all over!
