PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kwame Moto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Inoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moto's entrance music is Tupac_Hit em' up. A fine choice. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kwame Moto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Antonio Inoki!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moto tries to close the distance and clinch but Inoki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Inoki is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Moto throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Moto looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Moto drops Inoki with a left and a right! Oh, Inoki is hurt - Moto dives into side control looking to finish!

It looks like Antonio Inoki has been cut.
You can see the frustration on Inoki's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Inoki tries to control but Moto manages to take his back.
Inoki wants to escape the position.
Inoki manages to reverse the position and now he's in Moto's guard. Nice work there by Inoki.
Inoki being controlled here momentarily.
Moto not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Moto avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Moto is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Inoki looking to sit in guard and control but Moto gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Inoki is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Moto won't allow Inoki to pass to mount.

Inoki is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Moto has managed to free his arm - good work.
Moto might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Inoki thows a huge punch but Moto dodges it nicely.
Moto wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moto wants to control but Inoki is keeping busy and won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Moto preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Inoki is keen to just control but Moto is a slippery customer.

Inoki is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Inoki looks gassed!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Moto throws a combination. Inoki tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Moto tries to close the distance and clinch up but Inoki swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Moto takes the fight into the clinch.
Inoki drops down looking for an ankle pick but Moto pulls his leg out and moves away.
Inoki takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Inoki is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Moto lands with a big right hook that stumbles Inoki - he's out on his feet here! Moto follows up with another monster hook that separates Inoki from consciousness! Inoki falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Moto stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
