The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thomas closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Thomas lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Chuteboxe is looking for a sweep.

Thomas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Chuteboxe manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Thomas is trying to get back to full guard.
Thomas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chuteboxe on the ground.
Thomas tries to kick Chuteboxe off but Chuteboxe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Chuteboxe wants to free his trapped foot but Thomas is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Thomas is looking for a sweep. Chuteboxe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Chuteboxe frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Thomas tries to reverse the position but Chuteboxe maintains control.

Chuteboxe wants to finish this one by submission but Thomas is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Chuteboxe.
Chuteboxe takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Well, with Chuteboxe on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Thomas is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Thomas manages to reverse the position and now he's in Chuteboxe's guard. Nice work there by Thomas.

Chuteboxe has his feet on Thomas's thighs here. He's pushed Thomas off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Thomas screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
