Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ippo Makunouchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Turk Ransel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ransel is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Pug Uglies- Street Rule. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight stays on the outside here - Ransel looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Turk Ransel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Makunouchi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Ransel tries to lock up and control but Makunouchi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Makunouchi unloads with some shots from mount but Ransel bucks and avoids them well.

Ransel tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ransel wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Makunouchi .
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ransel's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Makunouchi is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Ransel reverses the position - he's now on top in Makunouchi 's guard.
Makunouchi can't keep his opponent in guard - Ransel advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Ransel is taking a breather. Makunouchi says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Makunouchi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Makunouchi tries to get out of the position.

Ransel winds up and cracks Makunouchi with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Makunouchi is not content to let Ransel control the position.

Makunouchi avoids a punch combination nicely.
Makunouchi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Ippo Makunouchi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ransel throws a right and a left that Makunouchi avoids nicely.
Makunouchi lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Ransel tries to clinch there but Makunouchi circles away.

Ransel bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Makunouchi 's head backwards.
Ransel throws a wild body kick that Makunouchi sees coming a mile off.
Makunouchi throws out a loose jab but Ransel uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Ransel counters with a nice right hand that sends Makunouchi toppling to the canvas! Makunouchi scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Ransel finish him?!

Makunouchi dodges the punch combination from Ransel.
Ransel tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Makunouchi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ransel dives in and grabs Makunouchi 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Makunouchi pushes down on Ransel's head and hops out.
Ransel is looking to clinch but Makunouchi is avoiding it.

Ransel misses with a looping left.
Makunouchi ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Ransel takes the fight into the clinch.
Ransel lands a hook that snaps the head of Makunouchi backwards.

Ransel is trying to trip Makunouchi . He has hold of a leg but Makunouchi is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ransel persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Makunouchi 's corner calls for a 1-2. Makunouchi obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Ransel has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Ransel there as he acknowledges the shot.

Makunouchi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ransel lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Makunouchi can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Ransel and Makunouchi drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Ransel.
