The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pounder takes a kick to the side of the head.
Granger throws a sloppy head kick and Pounder moves out of range easily.
Granger misses with a series of wild punches.
Pounder slips a jab and a cross from Granger.
Pounder throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Granger swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pounder ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Granger moves away.
Granger misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Pounder shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Granger is trying to defend but Pounder finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Pounder is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Granger is just riding it out for now. Pounder eventually gives up the hold.
Pounder moves nicely into side control.
Granger is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Pounder is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
