Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evangelista Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Santos fails with an attempt to clinch.

Emelianenko closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dos Santos did well to prevent Emelianenko getting side control.
Dos Santos has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Emelianenko is working away from the top position though.

Emelianenko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
I looks like Emelianenko might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Emelianenko and Dos Santos goes tumbling to the canvas! Emelianenko follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Emelianenko steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Dos Santos is out on his feet! Emelianenko sets himself and nearly takes Dos Santos's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
