Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spong shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Evans as he jumps to the side.

Evans throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Spong was covering up waiting for the punch and Evans finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Evans seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Evans sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Spong's guard.
Spong tries to roll over but Evans keeps him under control.

Evans moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Spong.
Evans advances to mount.

Evans is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Spong to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Spong shrugs it off.

Evans working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Spong turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Evans off and cradles Spong's limp body as Evans celebrates with his corner.
