These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sawamura throws a series of punches but Thomas moves out of range.
Thomas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sawamura lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Thomas backs up against the cage.
Thomas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Thomas throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Sawamura stalks Thomas and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Thomas's face. Thomas staggers backwards, shaken.

and Sawamura counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Thomas takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Sawamura drops Thomas with a straight right hand, right on the button! Sawamura follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
