The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw slips under a jab from Franklin.
Shaw lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Franklin throws a jab when Shaw was well out of range.

Franklin moves forwards but Shaw connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Franklin is rocked!
Franklin throws a hook but Shaw blocks it.
Shaw misses with a straight right.
Ben Franklin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Franklin slips a straight right by Shaw.

Shaw feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Franklin sprawling to the canvas! Franklin rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Shaw finish him?!

Franklin misses with a wild body shot.
Shaw finds Franklin's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Franklin flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Shaw lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Franklin will be OK.
