Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, morgan bunch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Sami Kolari!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kolari lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
bunch gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kolari to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Kolari preventing the sweep.
Kolari wants to control from the top but bunch keeps moving.
Kolari won't allow bunch to sweep him here.
bunch trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Kolari trying to control the position from guard on top but bunch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kolari is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
bunch is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
bunch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kolari on the ground.
bunch is striking off his back. Kolari thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Kolari is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so bunch is just riding it out for now. Kolari eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kolari thows a huge punch but bunch dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
bunch has hold of Kolari's hands but Kolari slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Kolari drops an elbow to the side of bunch's head.
bunch is trying to maintain the position but Kolari is very close to passing his half guard.
Kolari moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from bunch.
Kolari connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused bunch some visible discomfort.
Kolari tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

bunch tries to improve position but can't.
Kolari is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. bunch is trying to escape and Kolari transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and bunch is forced to tap! Nice work there by Kolari! Very nice indeed!
