Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Victor Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sekur Arian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peterson comes to the cage accompanied by Diamond. Victor Peterson has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Victor Peterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sekur Arian!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Arian swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Arian closes the distance and clinches up with Peterson, looking for a takedown. Arian pushes Peterson against the cage but Peterson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Peterson defending well as Arian loads up on a big left hand.
Peterson throws the left hand but Arian avoids the punch easily.

Arian shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Arian throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Peterson was covering up waiting for the punch and Arian finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Arian's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Peterson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Peterson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Arian is not content to let Peterson control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Arian can do anything to dispel that myth.
Peterson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Arian is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Peterson drops back looking for a leg! Arian is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Arian manages to kick Peterson off! Peterson jumps back into Arian's guard.

Arian really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Peterson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Peterson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Peterson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

It looks like Sekur Arian has been cut.

Peterson doesn't manage to clinch there - Arian circles away.
Arian fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Peterson avoids it really well and circles away.

Arian is fighting to break Peterson's control of his arms but Peterson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Arian fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Arian shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Peterson sprawls well. Peterson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Arian gets slowly back to his feet.

Arian throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Peterson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Arian doesn't seem bothered though.
Arian swats away the attempt to clinch by Peterson.

Peterson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Sekur Arian has got the better of the ground game so far.

Peterson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Peterson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Peterson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Arian has worked his arm free - good work by Arian!

Peterson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Peterson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Arian is just riding it out for now. Peterson eventually gives up the hold.

Peterson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Arian defend it? Peterson steps over the head and cranks it - Arian is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Peterson!
