Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jouston Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ali East (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ali East will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jouston Alexander!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ali East!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Eddie Farnsworth and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
East tries to clinch but Alexander is having none of it.
Alexander avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
East tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alexander paws at him with a jab and circles away.
East tries to clinch but Alexander moves out of range.

Alexander closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Alexander wants to lay and pray for a moment but East keeps working.

Alexander is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Alexander is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Alexander tries to pass to full mount but East defends it.

Alexander is working for an americana but East has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Alexander was thinking about the submission.
East is trying to control the position but Alexander postures up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Alexander is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! East is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! East has escaped and now he's on top!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Alexander gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Alexander tries to roll over but East keeps him under control.
Alexander makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Alexander.
East postures up.

Alexander looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Alexander is trying to work for a kimura but East is defending well.

Alexander seems to be looking for submissions.
Alexander has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
East is wriggling around trying to escape.

Alexander jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but East manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Alexander tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Alexander has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Alexander moves into full mount!

Alexander is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But East has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from East!

Alexander is looking to sweep but instead, East has passed into half guard.

East uses his free foot to push down on Alexander's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Alexander.

Alexander drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alexander jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Alexander not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alexander is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Alexander is looking for a kimura but East is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Alexander to get the leverage.
Alexander uses his free foot to push down on East's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for East.
Alexander avoids the attempt from East to control.

Alexander swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and East is now in Alexander's guard. A big mistake from Alexander there, giving up the dominant position!
Alexander wants to sweep here but East controlling him for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Alexander's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Alexander keeps the fight on the outside.
Alexander has a takedown stuffed.
Horrible takedown by Alexander or perhaps it was just good defense by East which made him look bad.
East tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

East instigates a clinch.
East lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Alexander backwards.
East lands a knee to the head.
East looking to throw knees to the head but Alexander is blocking nicely.
Alexander tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. East smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jouston Alexander. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The is referee keeping an eye on East - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Ali East seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Alexander shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
East takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Alexander trying to mount his opponent but East defends it.

East has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Alexander is working away from the top position though.
Alexander passes the guard and advances to mount!
East avoids a series of strikes thrown by Alexander.
East is squirming around, avoiding Alexander's attempts to control the action.
East wants to control but Alexander is having none of it.
Alexander sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Alexander goes for an armbar but East turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from East.
Alexander is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Alexander working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. East doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. East manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alexander isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. East stacks Alexander on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by East!

Alexander is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but East pulls his head out easily.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jouston Alexander.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Alexander, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
