Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Perqelez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Dee Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perqelez comes to the cage accompanied by cool caribbean beats. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jesus Perqelez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jay Dee Penn!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Penn tries to sprawl but Perqelez drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Perqelez is taking a breather. Penn says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Penn looking for submissions off his back.
Penn missing with punches from the bottom.
Penn punching from the bottom.
Perqelez works his way into side control.
Penn tries to improve position but can't.
Perqelez controls the position from side control.
Penn tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Perqelez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Penn misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Perqelez lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Penn down.
Perqelez advances to mount.
Perqelez looking to control and managing it successfully.
Penn throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Penn really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Perqelez fails to take his opponent's back.
Penn slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Perqelez stands up from half guard.
Penn shoots and misses

and Perqelez counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Penn looks gassed!
Perqelez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Perqelez seems to be looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Perqelez controlling the action here.
Perqelez has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Penn flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Perqelez tries to pass the half guard into mount. Penn knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Perqelez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Penn missing with punches from the bottom.

Jesus Perqelez has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Penn throws a left and a right that both miss

and Perqelez counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Penn!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Perqelez looking for a guillotine from mount but Penn is having none of it.
Perqelez moves to the back.
What can Penn do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Perqelez working for a choke but Penn is defending well.
Perqelez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Perqelez has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Penn's body.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Penn is trying to break free.
Penn is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Perqelez just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Perqelez is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Penn taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Perqelez.
