The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Gordon as Bonney shoots in.
Bonney tries to sprawl but Gordon drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Gordon is stalling here. Bonney is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Gordon seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Bonney has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Gordon is pushing Bonney's head away, looking to escape. Bonney manages to hold on to the position though.
Bonney wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gordon, who protects the arm well.
Bonney misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Bonney has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gordon is trying to get back to his feet.
Bonney is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gordon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Bonney has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Gordon is in real trouble here. Bonney gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Gordon is tapping out! Bonney wins by rear naked choke!
