Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Barkley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lucas Martinez will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barkley throws a right and a left that Martinez avoids nicely.
Barkley tries to clinch up.
Barkley shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Martinez as he jumps to the side.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Martinez has eaten all the pies!

Barkley tries to keep at a distance but Martinez has taken the fight into the clinch.

Barkley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Barkley thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Martinez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Martinez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barkley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Martinez decides to stand back up. Martinez steps back and let's Barkley get back to his feet.

Barkley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Martinez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Charles Barkley will probably get the nod.

Barkley is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Martinez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Martinez's back!
