Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between CoCo Ware (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ware lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Davis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ware but Ware pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fighters circling - Davis throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Davis misses with a double jab.
Davis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ware tries to avoid it but Davis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ware to the ground. Ware escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
CoCo Ware has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Davis.
Ware throws a sloppy head kick and Davis moves out of range easily.
Davis misses the shot to the body.
Davis is trying desperately to land a takedown but Ware is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Davis.
Ware is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Davis.

Ware is taking a breather. Davis says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
