Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jin Shiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ran Sakamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakamoto is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Wu tang tiger style. On his way into the cage it seems that Jin Shiro has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jin Shiro seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ran Sakamoto!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shiro drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Sakamoto is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Shiro is aware though and is defending well.

Shiro thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Shiro working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Shiro got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sakamoto has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shiro has managed to get both his arms back between Sakamoto's legs - danger averted.
Shiro trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Sakamoto had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Shiro defends it easily.

Shiro decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sakamoto, up you get!

Sakamoto gets caught flat footed, as Shiro shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Shiro won't allow Sakamoto to sweep him here.
Shiro is pushing down on Sakamoto's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sakamoto is fighting to maintain full guard but Shiro has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sakamoto is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Shiro pulls his head out easily.
Shiro perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Shiro is keen to just control but Sakamoto is a slippery customer.
Shiro is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Shiro looking to control but Sakamoto is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Shiro sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Shiro postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Sakamoto looks a forlorn figure.
Shiro looking to control but Sakamoto is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Shiro jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Sakamoto manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Shiro is breathing heavily.
Sakamoto gets back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sakamoto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Shiro is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Sakamoto!
Sakamoto is in a horrible position here. Shiro smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Shiro is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Shiro!
