Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Keizo Sawaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JP Alcano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sawaki comes to the cage accompanied by 'Kodo' by The Yoshida Brothers. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, JP Alcano!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alcano uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sawaki has time to react.
Alcano swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A head kick misses from Alcano.
Sawaki misses with a shot to the body

and Alcano counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Alcano looking to finish!

Sawaki is rocked!

Alcano has gone for a leg lock! Sawaki slips out almost immediately though and dives into Alcano's guard.
Oh Sawaki is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Alcano looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Sawaki seems to have got his legs back now.
Sawaki wants to pass the guard but Alcano is keeping the position.
Alcano is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Sawaki lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Sawaki passes into half guard.
Alcano gets full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sawaki trying to control the position from guard on top but Alcano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Alcano wants to sweep here but Sawaki controlling him for the moment.
Alcano is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sawaki trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Alcano is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Alcano utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Alcano has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sawaki is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Alcano.
Alcano gets back to half guard.

Sawaki throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Sawaki trying to pass the guard but Alcano defending well.
Alcano wants to sweep but Sawaki has passed to side control!
Alcano tries to bench press Sawaki off him but Sawaki keeps the position.
Alcano is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Alcano is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sawaki's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Sawaki! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Alcano has tapped! This one is allllll over!
