Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Slim Calhoun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Little McCarty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Calhoun comes to the cage accompanied by Always Strapped. McCarty has chosen Tech N9ne - Yeah as his entrance music. Slim Calhoun has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calhoun is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Nice sprawl there from McCarty as Calhoun shoots in.
Calhoun showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McCarty.
McCarty lands a nice shot to the body.
Calhoun tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
McCarty misses the jab.
McCarty catches Calhoun with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
McCarty swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McCarty stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
McCarty clinches up with Calhoun and pushes him back against the cage.
Calhoun fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Calhoun is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Slim Calhoun. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Calhoun has McCarty pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Calhoun pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending McCarty tumbling to the mat - Calhoun dives into McCarty's guard.
McCarty wants to get back to his feet but Calhoun is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McCarty is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Calhoun decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on McCarty, up you get!

No joy there for McCarty, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McCarty scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Calhoun throws a leg kick that misses.
McCarty is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
McCarty misses with a looping left.
Calhoun changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McCarty tries to avoid it but Calhoun manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McCarty to the ground. McCarty escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A combination from Calhoun does no damage.
McCarty takes a swing at Calhoun's ribcage but misses.
Calhoun circles away from the clinch attempt.
Calhoun tries to clinch up
and McCarty counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Slim Calhoun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCarty will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Calhoun closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Calhoun lands in his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
McCarty wants to get back to his feet but Calhoun is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
McCarty looks gassed!
McCarty keeping moving, preventing Calhoun from controlling successfully.

Calhoun throws a big right hand that misses.
McCarty really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Calhoun. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Calhoun prevents McCarty from getting back to his feet.
Calhoun passes McCarty's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Calhoun is trying to control the action in half guard but McCarty is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Calhoun scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
McCarty looks like he's trying to stand up.
Calhoun landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Calhoun in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. McCarty tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Calhoun!
