And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michael Durell!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Durell circles away.

Spar closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Spar is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Durell is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The strikes coming from Spar are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Durell trying to remain calm as Spar controls from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spar prevents Durell from escaping the position.

Spar wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Durell, who protects the arm well.

Spar looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Spar is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Durell has escaped the position, nice work there.
Durell is trying to buck Spar off.

Spar tries for a kimura but Durell is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Spar is staying tight to Durell's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Durell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Durell is trying to get back to his feet.
Spar trying to control the position but Durell is working away.

Spar working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

It looks like Michael Durell has been cut.

Spar is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Durell looks calm but he's in trouble here. Spar gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Durell is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Spar lets go of the hold and Durell can pop his arm back in it's socket.
