The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ben defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McGoldstein.
McGoldstein walks into a straight right hand from Ben.
Big Ben seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ben lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
McGoldstein fails with the takedown.
Ben misses with a two punch combination.

Ben avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ben should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Ben displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McGoldstein throws out the jab.
McGoldstein fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ben avoids it really well and circles away.

McGoldstein jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ben walks away with a smile on his face. McGoldstein gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

McGoldstein feints and as Ben raises his hands in defense, McGoldstein changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

McGoldstein pushes down on Ben's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Ben really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McGoldstein. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

McGoldstein tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Ben keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Ben is not content to let McGoldstein control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Big Ben will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Ben rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McGoldstein moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ben creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

McGoldstein is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Ben can't fight it off and eventually McGoldstein manages to take the fight to the floor. Ben looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
McGoldstein stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ben swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McGoldstein closes the distance and clinches up with Ben, looking for a takedown. McGoldstein pushes Ben against the cage but Ben circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

McGoldstein goes for a takedown attempt but Ben pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
McGoldstein gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Ben throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McGoldstein fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
McGoldstein shoots for a double leg takedown but Ben sprawls well. He's pushed McGoldstein's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ben throws a series of strikes that have McGoldstein backpedaling.
McGoldstein takes one on the chin but seems OK.

And that's the end of the fight!
Big Ben comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Ben has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
