Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Sagat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danso Okeke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sagat shoots in for a double leg but Okeke sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Okeke gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Sagat wants to control but Okeke is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Okeke postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Sagat to stand up.
Sagat looks to land a combination but Okeke avoids it well.

Sagat closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Sagat is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Okeke is pulling down on Sagat's head to control his posture.
Sagat wants to pass the guard but Okeke is keeping the position.
Okeke pulls Sagat in close to his closed guard and prevents Sagat from doing any damage or advancing position.

Sagat has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sagat wants to control from the top but Okeke keeps moving.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Okeke has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sagat is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Okeke.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Okeke counters with a big head kick but Sagat shrugs it off.
Sagat drops Okeke with a left right combo! Sagat follows him down to the ground into side control.
Sagat grinds an elbow into Okeke's temple.

Sagat is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Okeke's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Okeke's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sagat doesn't have the hooks in and Okeke manages to turn into his guard.
Okeke is breathing heavily.

Sagat is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Sagat lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Okeke!

Sagat with shots to the head and body - Okeke looks very uncomfortable down there.
Okeke tries to lock up and control but Sagat gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Sagat shoots in for a double leg but Okeke sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Okeke feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Sagat bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Okeke's guard.
Sergei Sagat overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sagat lands a nice short elbow.

Sagat has picked Okeke up - he's going for a ride! Sagat dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sagat lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

That has opened up Danso Okeke's cut even more.

and Okeke finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Sagat lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Okeke is looking to close the distance but Sagat sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Okeke crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Okeke is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
