The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Szmidt looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Szmidt tries to close the distance and clinch but Jacobson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Szmidt tries to clinch up.
Szmidt is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jacobson has a takedown stuffed.
Szmidt tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jacobson lands a right hook to the body.
Szmidt tries to move into range but Jacobson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A jab lands there for Jacobson.
Szmidt is breathing heavily.
Jacobson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Szmidt looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jacobson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Szmidt's calf.
Left hook, right uppercut from Jacobson.
Jacobson lands a head kick. Szmidt smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Szmidt on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Jacobson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Szmidt sprawling to the canvas! Szmidt rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Jacobson finish him?!

Szmidt is rocked!
Szmidt bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Jacobson comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Szmidt falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Szmidt was out before he hit the floor!
