The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferrera shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Criss as he jumps to the side.

Criss is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Criss wants to pass to mount but Ferrera is defending the position.
Ferrera gets back to full guard.
Ferrera bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Criss's guard.

Ferrera thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Criss is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ferrera has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Criss can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ferrera has his foot on Criss's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Criss works his way back into a safe position though.
Criss must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Ferrera lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Criss!
