Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lay Pray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Mellendrez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pray comes into the arena with Don't Fear the Reaper- Blue Oyster Cult blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pray looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Pray engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Mellendrez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pray postures up.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Pray is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Mellendrez fails with the takedown

and Pray counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mellendrez won't be happy with that.
Mellendrez is trying to escape the position but Pray is controlling the position.

Pray feints and as Mellendrez raises his hands in defense, Pray changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Mellendrez manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Pray bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Pray's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pray looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mellendrez is fending him off so far but Pray persists. Nope, Mellendrez circles away and we're back to standing.

Pray lands a left and a right that send Mellendrez crashing to the mat, dazed. Pray thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
