Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Willy Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terrance Time (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Willy Pete!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Terrance Time!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Time keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Time tries to clinch up but Pete circles away and keeps his distance.
Pete misses with a jab, cross combination.
Time is looking to clinch but Pete is avoiding it.
Pete will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Time doesn't manage to clinch there - Pete circles away.
Time shoots for a double leg takedown but Pete sprawls well. He's pushed Time's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Time throws a jab but it's blocked by Pete.
Time shoots in but Pete avoids the takedown attempt easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pete lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Time throws a hook but Pete avoids it easily.
Pete works over Time's head and body with a nice combination.

Time instigates a clinch.
Pete is trying to break the clinch but Time is controlling him.
Pete wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Time is trying to maintain a safe position but Pete gets an underhook and turns Time into the ropes.
Time displaying some good clinch control by pressing Pete up against the ropes.

Time manages to break the clinch.
Pete throws an overhand right that lands on Time's shoulder, as Time tries to avoid the shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pete, as that shot connected.
Time keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Time slips under a jab.

Time takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Time drives through and clinches with Pete against the ropes.
Pete blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Pete struggles to land a body shot inside as Time controls his hands.
Pete tries to circle away but Time has him pinned against the ropes.
Time holding his opponent close, against the ropes.
Pete tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Time is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Pete wants to break free but Time has control.

Time breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

A shot to the liver by Pete. Beautiful body shot.
Pete scores with a jab. Time acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Willy Pete is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Time throws a combination. Pete tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Pete lands a nice hook to Time's body. Time takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Time pushes Pete up against the ropes in a clinch.

Pete has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Time uses from the top position.

Pete working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Time doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Time manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Time stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pete swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Pete has his foot on Time's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Time works his way back into a safe position though.

Time shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Time is thwarting Pete's attempts to control the position.

Time wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pete keeps working.
Time is just content to waste time from the top position. Pete takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Pete is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Time defends well.

Time got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pete has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Time has managed to get both his arms back between Pete's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters circle momentarily. Pete darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Pete swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Time throws a hook to the side of Pete's head but Pete sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Time counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Time shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pete as he jumps to the side.

Time might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
